TEA TYPE Aged Puer Sheng Cha 2010 TASTING NOTES Persimmon confit, dried peach skin, sun dried ginkgo wood
HOW IT'S MADE Hand-plucked, natural withered, aged in Yunnan
The Puer P2 is a specially aged loose-leaf puer tea reserved for local tea connoisseurs. Following an old Yunnan tradition, only the best-selected fresh leaves will become loose-leaf puer. The quality of tealeaves significantly influences the result of the natural oxidation process, making it a crucial factor in determining the taste of tea. The iconic character of puer with its elegant nuances of caramel and marron glacé can only be obtained from the highest quality tealeaves.
This loose leaf puer is made from hand-plucked leaves from an old tea tree grown in a protected and reserved private tea garden in Menghai. The whole process is done entirely by hand, following the traditional ancient methods.
The fragrance of this puer is much more intense than the cake form puer. The intriguing note of dried peach skin mixed with crystallized persimmon is a signature character of this exceptional puer.
