N°9 is an extremely rare black tea, grown almost wild on the top of Mt Wenshan. To perfect its distinctive amber note, only the first flush violet buds of the Qing-Hshin varietal are used. Every leaf is carefully selected and hand-rolled before undergoing a natural oxidation process without the use of any enzymes.
The violet bud is unique to Qing-Hshin varietal, which has been the best-regarded tea varietal in Asia since 1855. Its particular rich and complex flavour inspired generations of traditional tea growers. But in the modern time, the old varietals have almost vanished from the conventional tea gardens due to their low crop yield.
The extraordinary nuance of dried fruits and amber notes creates an aroma that will put a smile on your face every time you smell it. Anytime is the best time to appreciate a sleeping beauty of forest hermitage!
