This Guinomi is a splendid example of nature-inspired Hagi work. The ash-glazed undertone of natural clay performs as impressionistic strokes that highlight the liquid texture of white glaze. After dedicating 14 years to training under the Hagi master Miwa Eizo, Otani Masahiko set up his own kiln in Nagano in 1998.
