Esplanade Rouge N°11 is a delicious black tea made from wild Camellia Sinensis. Only a few bushes of this varietal are found in the Buddhist temple tea garden and through a natural oxidation process, it develops an irresistibly vibrant fragrance. Highly recommended for tea lovers who look for originality.
Wild Camellia Sinensis is an extremely rare find. The locals call it “wild mountain tea”. As it’s a non-hybrid wild varietal, the flavour is extraordinarily complex and you don't have to be an expert to spot the difference in taste. Luckily the nuns from the Buddhist temple preserve this non-hybrid wild varietal very well so that we can have the privilege of tasting a tiny production each season.
