This is an early 20th Kutani cup made by ceramic artist Suekawa Izumiyama, the third generation of the kutani master of Meiji period. Exquisite and wonderful, it is great to use as a teacup, and also makes a marvellous addition to any ceramic collection. Kutani ware’s distinctive style of multicoloured glaze over enamel porcelain originated in the village of Kutani around 1650.
